As communicators we have a responsibility to keep our employees motivated and informed around the topics that keep them efficient and productive corporate citizens. But the reality is that the work day is only a fraction of an employee's whole day and being an employee is only a part of the whole person they are when they leave the office.

So take a moment today - or soon - to find out what your employees love. What are the causes or programs or projects they're passionate about?

As RBC discovered with their Blue Water Project, when you establish this type of open, two-way dialogue with employees and empower them to build a personal legacy as a whole person - or an ambassador - within the organization you'll see their motivation and engagement with your own cause grow.
