Knowing is half the battle

Written by David Bator | June 8, 2020

Was it G.I. Joe or Proust that told us “knowing is half the battle”?

Whoever said it, they were on to something.

While we're looking to our digital workplace tools to form connections between remote workers, let's never forget that applications are arterial.

It's knowledge that's vital.

We all want to know and be known. As leaders, there are core concepts we want our employees to know remain healthy, productive and positive during this time.

Our employees also want their peers and managers to know the great things they are doing to support their colleagues and customers.

I’ve spoken to so many customers that are looking to increase the visibility and frequency of recognition in their company’s because by some estimates, more than half of their employees don’t even know that a program exists.

This means that half your population may not know about your core values or the behaviours that drive customer success.

If you have any type of recognition program at all now is the time to make sure that it’s getting the visibility your employees deserve.

It is possible to for recognition to be shared, discovered and socialized inside the tools employees are already using every single day.

It's an intelligent and inexpensive way to ensure that everyone is in the know.
